In a standing-room-only nail-biter at the MGM Grand Garden, the dust settled on the fourth and final performance of the million-dollar 1996 PBR (Professional Bull Rider) Built Ford Tough Series World Finals with the golden spotlight shining on Owen Washburn.
Washburn of Lordsburg, N.M., edged 1995 PBR World Champion Tuff Hedeman for the 1996 Professional Bull Rider (PBR) world championship after the PBR president hit the dirt just short of the whistle in the top-15 fifth and final round of competition. It was a dog fight to the end, but Wasburn prevailed based on the yearlong Built Ford Tough Series Tour and this weeks PBR (Professional Bull Rider ) Finals.
